地远接人天，相寻解夏前。
松门初过雨，竹坞细疏泉。
簟冷山池气，茶香石铫烟。

Later that day, I walked to the water pond temple with Wi Jing. The ground was far from human contact and seemed isolated, so we met each other before the summer heat had faded. As we passed by a pine gate which had just been wetted by a rain, and through a bamboo enclosure where tiny streams flowed, my mind felt refreshed and relaxed. The cold bamboo mat on the mountainside, the steam rising from stone teapots filled with green tea, all contributed to this pleasant atmosphere. I don’t blame myself for being lazy during morning prayers, because it still allowed me to engage in Zen meditation alongside the monk.
