永乐中,有一人居洞庭湖之滨。久而复有两人至,聚居一室,不轻出门户。风月之夕,则棹小舟,操酒榼,泛湖而饮,饮至醉,扣舷而歌,歌竟,相持大恸而归,人莫测也。居人时以钱米周之,或受或否。而一人病革,呼其邻曰:‘吾欲告汝以姓名,恐为女累;不言,女终见疑。奈何?’其人固请,乃曰:‘我建文朝某编修也,幸葬我湖旁某山下。’居人收葬之。其二人后不知所在。(冶城客论)
