却说辽兵败残人马逃回辽国，见了兀颜统军，俱说小将军去打宋兵阵势，被他活捉去了，其余牙将，尽皆归降。李金吾亦被他那里一个秦明一棍打死，军卒四散逃走，不知下落。太真驸马逃的性命，不知去向。兀颜统军听了大惊，便道：“吾儿自小习学阵法，颇知玄妙。宋江那厮把甚阵势捉了吾儿？”左右道：“只是个九宫八卦阵势，又无甚希奇。俺这小将军布了四个阵势，都被那蛮子识破了。临了，对俺小将军说道：‘你识我九宫八卦阵，你敢来打么？’俺小将军便领了千百骑马军从西门打将入去，被他强弓硬弩射住，只有一半人马能勾入去。不知怎生被他生擒活捉了。”兀颜统军道：“量这个九宫八卦阵有甚难打，必是被他变了阵势。”众军道：“俺们在将台上望见他阵中队伍不动，旗幡不改，只见上面一派黑云罩定阵中。”兀颜统军道：“恁的必是妖术。吾不起军，这厮也来。若不取胜，吾当自刎。谁敢与吾作前部先锋，引兵前去？俺驱大队随后便来。”帐前转过二将齐出：“某等两个愿为前部。”一个是大辽番官琼妖纳延；一个是燕京番将姓寇，双名镇远。兀颜统军大喜。便道：“体两个小心在意，与吾引一万军兵作前部先锋，逢山开路，遇水叠桥。吾引大军随后便到。”

They told Emperor Yuanyuan that their young general captured the soldiers from Song army, and the rest of the generals surrendered. Li Jinwu was also killed by a Qin Deng in his army, and the soldiers ran off in disorder, with no clue as to what happened to him. Prince Taizhu managed to escape and is now missing. Emperor Yuanyuan, hearing this, was greatly shocked and said: "My child has learned the tactics since he was young and knows them very well. Who did Song Jian capture my son?" The generals replied: "It was just a Nine Palace Alchemy formation, not too mysterious. Our young general set four formations which he recognized, but in the end, he asked our young general 'Are you familiar with my Nine-Pillar Alchemy formation? Could you attempt to defeat it?' Our young general led a thousand horsemen through the West gate and was shot down by strong crossbows at the entrance, only half of us were able to advance. I don't know how to be captured alive." Emperor Yuanyuan said: "He must have some magical tricks, so I did not send out an army. If we do not win this battle, I will hang myself. Who would like to lead the front troops and follow behind with a large force?" Two generals stood up from among those present: one was Xiaoyan Hua from Liao (Liao state official) and the other was Dongjia Zhenyuan from Yanjing (the Yanjing general). Emperor Yuanyuan was overjoydden. He said: "Take care of these two and lead a hundred thousand men as your leading troops. Cross mountains and ford rivers. We will follow behind with our large army."
